Welcome to The Love Frankie House, our gloriously colourful interiors store and the new home of our handmade lampshade workshop, right in the heart of Totnes, Devon.
Downstairs, you’ll find statement lighting, bold home accessories, artwork, textiles and all manner of curious things for creating a home that feels unmistakably yours.
And now, behind the scenes upstairs, our brand-new workshop is beginning to take shape.
We’ve recently moved our lampshade production to Totnes, bringing the whole wonderful, colourful operation together under one roof. Our talented in-house makers are now busy settling into their new creative home and making your Love Frankie lampshades right above the shop.
HANDMADE IN TOTNES
Love Frankie lampshades aren’t pulled from a warehouse shelf or churned out by a faceless factory. Each shade is made especially for you.
When you place an order, your chosen fabric, shape, size and finish make their way upstairs to our workshop, where our makers bring the whole thing to life by hand.
From our smallest Dinky shades to enormous statement pendants, sumptuous velvets to shimmering metallic linings, every shade is cut, rolled, lined, trimmed and finished with skill, care and a brilliantly obsessive eye for detail.
There may be cutting. There may be rolling. There will almost certainly be fabric everywhere.
This is British-made lighting, bold, beautiful and made properly in the heart of Totnes.
OUR NEW WORKSHOP IS TAKING SHAPE
We’ve only just moved in, so our makers are currently busy setting up their new workspace, unpacking an alarming amount of fabric and getting everything running beautifully behind the scenes.
The upstairs workshop isn’t open to visitors just yet, but watch this space.
Once we’re fully settled, we’ll be sharing more from inside the workshop, introducing you to our brilliant makers and giving you a closer look at the people, skills and processes behind every Love Frankie lampshade.

Downstairs, you can explore our fabrics in person, see the colours in real light and get your hands on all those delicious textures. Compare shapes, experiment with sizes and discover the difference the right lining can make when the light is switched on.
Bring photographs of your room, wallpaper samples, paint swatches or even your lamp base. Our team can help you find the combination that works beautifully in your home.
Your final choices will then head upstairs, ready to be transformed into a lampshade made especially for you.
