At Love Frankie we've proudly handmade our lampshades in the UK for over two decades. Keeping production here has always been one of our core values, but it's also becoming increasingly challenging. If you've shopped with Love Frankie before, you'll know that every lampshade we make is handmade to order by our wonderful workshop team here in the UK.
No warehouses full of stock.
No factories overseas.
No conveyor belts.
Just real people making beautiful things by hand.
It's something we're incredibly proud of, and it's something we've always wanted to protect. But after more than five years without increasing our prices, we've reached the point where we simply can't put it off any longer.
5 Years is a long time.
When we last reviewed our pricing, the world looked very different. Since then we've seen the cost of almost everything increase.
Fabric.
Fringing.
Frames.
Packaging.
Energy.
Courier charges.
Shipping.
Workshop overheads.
If you run a small business yourself, or know someone who does, you'll probably know exactly what we're talking about. Like so many independent businesses, we've spent years absorbing those increases ourselves because we never wanted to pass them on to our customers.
But eventually there comes a point where doing that stops being sustainable.
Handmade shouldn't have to compete with mass-produced.
We know there will always be cheaper lampshades available online. There are thousands of them. But that's never been what Love Frankie is about.
Every single lampshade is made to order.
Every piece of fabric is cut by hand.
Every lining is rolled by hand.
Every trim is carefully measured and applied.
Every order is checked before it leaves our workshop.
When you buy from Love Frankie, you're not buying something that's been sitting in a warehouse for months. You're buying something that's being made especially for your home.
And we think that still matters.

We believe Britain still makes incredible things.
We believe skilled makers deserve to be fairly paid for their time and craftsmanship.
We believe independent businesses make our high streets, our towns and our online shopping experiences far more colourful than a world filled entirely with mass-produced products.
Every order placed with Love Frankie helps support British design, British manufacturing and the talented people who spend their days creating something they'll probably never get to see hanging in its forever home.
There's something rather lovely about that.
One last chance before our prices change
Rather than increasing everything overnight, we're making the changes gradually over the coming weeks. Before each collection moves to its new pricing, we'll be offering 20% off that collection for one final week.
Your 20% discount will be applied automatically at checkout during each collection's promotional week, so all you need to do is add your favourites to your basket before their prices change.
