Peach and Indigo should not work this well. Yet here we are.
Peach Fuzz combines soft, warm peach with deep inky blue in a checkerboard that is sweet, graphic and unexpectedly grown-up. It has enough colour to wake up a sensible room, but the Indigo keeps everything feeling rich and beautifully balanced.
Our Checkmate velvet was designed in-house by Johanna Franks and printed exclusively for Love Frankie. The sumptuous pile gives the checks depth and a gentle lustre, while each complete lamp is handmade to order in our Devon studio.
Choose the bedside-sized Shortie, perfectly proportioned Midi or fabulously floor lamp Maxi.
Select a wired version with twisted fabric flex, switch and UK plug, or add our rechargeable LED bulb with remote control for cordless lighting you can move around the house.

Each Checkmate portable lamp is handmade to order in our Devon studio using our exclusive checkerboard velvet, designed in-house by Johanna Franks and printed especially for Love Frankie. Choose from three sizes and two lighting options: a wired lamp with statement twisted flex, or a rechargeable LED bulb for completely cordless lighting.

The Shortie: Overall height 35cm / Lampshade 20cm diameter x 25cm height
The Midi: Overall height 52cm / Lampshade 30cm diameter x 20cm height
The Maxi: Overall height 112cm / Lampshade 30cm diameter x 40cm height
FLEX LENGTH OPTIONS
The Shortie: 1.5 metres of Indigo twisted flex cable, inline switch and UK plug
The Midi: 2 metres of Indigo twisted flex cable, inline switch and UK plug
The Maxi: 3 metres of Indigo twisted flex cable, floor switch and UK plug
LIGHTING OPTIONS
Wired lamp: Supplied with twisted fabric flex cable, white ES27 bulb holder, switch and UK plug. Bulb not included. Requires an ES27 large Edison screw bulb with a maximum wattage of 60W, or a 9W LED equivalent.
Rechargeable LED bulb: Supplied with an ES27 rechargeable bulb, USB charging cable and remote control. Maximum wattage 7W. The bulb is dimmable and offers three light settings: warm white, natural white and cool white.

LAMPSHADE SPECIFICATIONS
Every Love Frankie lampshade is handmade to order in our UK workshop. Here's everything you need to know about fittings, sizing, materials and bulbs before ordering.
LAMPSHADE FITTINGS
Our standard lampshades use a 39mm UK/EU ring fitting and include a reducer ring for 29mm fittings, making them suitable for most standard UK and European lamps and flex sets.
For most designs, you can choose:
Lamp: the ring fitting sits approximately 4cm up from the bottom of the shade.
Ceiling Pendant: the ring fitting sits approximately 4cm down from the top of the shade.
Using an arc floor lamp? Choose the Ceiling Pendant option so the fitting sits at the top.
American harp and lampshade carrier fittings are available on selected designs by request. Please contact us before ordering if you need a specialist fitting.

FABRIC & WALLPAPER SAMPLES
Colours, textures and tones can vary between screens, so we recommend ordering a sample if you're trying to match a particular colour or interior scheme.
You can order up to five free fabric or wallpaper samples, with postage charged separately. Simply look out for the yellow ORDER FABRIC SAMPLE button on your favourite shades.

METALLIC FOIL LININGS
Our gold and copper foil lined lampshades are constructed using three layers: metallic foil, lampshade PVC and your chosen outer fabric or wallpaper.
This opaque construction prevents light from passing through the sides of the shade. Instead, light reflects from the metallic interior, creating a warm, directional glow from the top and bottom.
Larger lampshades have wider openings and will naturally allow more light into the room.
FRINGED LAMPSHADES
Our fringes are available in different lengths depending on the design.
The dimensions shown for the lampshade itself do not include the fringe, so please check the individual product details for the fringe length before ordering.
BULBS
We recommend using LED bulbs with our lampshades.
The correct bulb type and maximum wattage will depend on your lamp base or ceiling fitting, so always check the manufacturer's instructions.
Our lampshade ring fitting does not determine which bulb you need. The bulb is determined by the lamp holder or flex set you're using.

Every Love Frankie lampshade is handmade to order in our UK workshop. Our production time varies throughout the year, so please check the banner at the top of the website for our current lampshade lead time.

All other in-stock items are usually dispatched within 3–5 working days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Returns
We hope you love your Love Frankie order, but if something isn't quite right, standard products purchased through our website can normally be returned.
Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to let us know you'd like to make a return.
Our standard online lampshades can be returned, even though they're handmade to order. However, bespoke, personalised or specially commissioned items cannot normally be returned unless faulty.
Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless your item is faulty or damaged.
