Sadie is what happens when leopard print gets plugged into the mains.
Her vintage dome is wrapped in our Electric Leopard velvet, a glorious riot of wild spots and high-voltage colour. Pumpkin orange braid follows every curve before tumbling into a spectacular curtain of matching fringe.
Wild, electric and dressed for trouble.
The velvet pile gives the print wonderful depth as the light moves across it, while the saturated pumpkin fringe adds warmth, movement and a frankly unreasonable amount of drama. The classic dome silhouette keeps the whole electrifying affair looking glamorous rather than chaotic. Only just.
Handmade to order by us in our Totnes studio, every velvet panel is carefully positioned before the shade is finished with decorative braid and 14cm fringe. Sadie is available in six sizes and can be made for a ceiling pendant, table lamp, floor lamp or American harp fitting.
She belongs in bold bedrooms, colourful living rooms, cocktail corners and anywhere that could benefit from a controlled electrical incident.
Sadie is not here to behave.

HANDMADE TO ORDER
Every Love Frankie vintage lampshade is handmade to order in our Totnes studio. Each fabric panel is carefully cut, shaped and positioned before the shade is finished by hand with decorative braid and long, swishing fringe.
DIMENSIONS
Measurements show the bottom diameter x shade height:
- 10" x 6" / 25cm x 16cm
- 12" x 7.5" / 30cm x 19cm
- 14" x 9" / 33cm x 23cm
- 16" x 11.5" / 40cm x 29cm
- 18" x 12" / 45cm x 31cm
- 22" x 14" / 55cm x 35cm
The fringing measures approximately 14cm in length and is not included in the shade dimensions shown above.
FITTINGS
Please select the required fitting when ordering:
- Ceiling Pendant: A spider fitting will be included, suitable for standard UK and EU flex sets.
- Table or Floor Lamp: A shade carrier will be included, suitable for standard UK and EU table and floor lamps.
- American Harp Fitting: An American-style spider fitting will be included for lamps fitted with a harp.
If you are unsure which fitting you require, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to help.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
Where a patterned fabric is used, each panel is individually cut from a larger design. Pattern placement will vary naturally between lampshades, making every finished shade slightly different.
SAMPLES
Colours, patterns and textures can appear differently across computer and mobile screens. We recommend requesting a free fabric sample before ordering, particularly if you are matching the shade to an existing colour scheme.
A maximum of five free fabric samples may be ordered per customer. Postage charges apply.

LAMPSHADE SPECIFICATIONS
Every Love Frankie lampshade is handmade to order in our UK workshop. Here's everything you need to know about fittings, sizing, materials and bulbs before ordering.
LAMPSHADE FITTINGS
Our standard lampshades use a 39mm UK/EU ring fitting and include a reducer ring for 29mm fittings, making them suitable for most standard UK and European lamps and flex sets.
For most designs, you can choose:
Lamp: the ring fitting sits approximately 4cm up from the bottom of the shade.
Ceiling Pendant: the ring fitting sits approximately 4cm down from the top of the shade.
Using an arc floor lamp? Choose the Ceiling Pendant option so the fitting sits at the top.
American harp and lampshade carrier fittings are available on selected designs by request. Please contact us before ordering if you need a specialist fitting.

Our lampshade dimensions are shown in both centimetres and inches.

FABRIC & WALLPAPER SAMPLES
Colours, textures and tones can vary between screens, so we recommend ordering a sample if you're trying to match a particular colour or interior scheme.
You can order up to five free fabric or wallpaper samples, with postage charged separately. Simply look out for the yellow ORDER FABRIC SAMPLE button on your favourite shades.

METALLIC FOIL LININGS
Our gold and copper foil lined lampshades are constructed using three layers: metallic foil, lampshade PVC and your chosen outer fabric or wallpaper.
This opaque construction prevents light from passing through the sides of the shade. Instead, light reflects from the metallic interior, creating a warm, directional glow from the top and bottom.
Larger lampshades have wider openings and will naturally allow more light into the room.
FRINGED LAMPSHADES
Our fringes are available in different lengths depending on the design.
The dimensions shown for the lampshade itself do not include the fringe, so please check the individual product details for the fringe length before ordering.
BULBS
We recommend using LED bulbs with our lampshades.
The correct bulb type and maximum wattage will depend on your lamp base or ceiling fitting, so always check the manufacturer's instructions.
Our lampshade ring fitting does not determine which bulb you need. The bulb is determined by the lamp holder or flex set you're using.

Every Love Frankie lampshade is handmade to order in our UK workshop. Our production time varies throughout the year, so please check the banner at the top of the website for our current lampshade lead time.

All other in-stock items are usually dispatched within 3–5 working days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Returns
We hope you love your Love Frankie order, but if something isn't quite right, standard products purchased through our website can normally be returned.
Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to let us know you'd like to make a return.
Our standard online lampshades can be returned, even though they're handmade to order. However, bespoke, personalised or specially commissioned items cannot normally be returned unless faulty.
Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless your item is faulty or damaged.
