Lampshade Specification
Welcome to Love Frankie, the home of statement lighting designs. All of our lampshades are designed, curated and handmade to order by our small but brilliant team here in the UK. Please see below for our Lampshade Specifications.
LAMPSHADE LEAD TIME:
All Love Frankie lampshades are handmade to order and hold a lead time of approximately 2 – 3 weeks. During busy periods such as Christmas and promotional sales this lead time can increase to 5 – 6 weeks.
EXTENDED LAMPSHADE LEAD TIMES WILL BE ADVERTISED IN A BANNER ACROSS THE TOP OF THE WEBSITE.
LAMPSHADE FITTINGS:
Our lampshades are made using industry standard lampshade ring sets, suitable for use on all UK and EU standard lamps and flex and fitting sets. We provide a reducing ring in the central ring fitting allowing you to convert the lampshade from an 39mm / ES27 fitting (EU) to a 29mm / Smaller Bayonet Fitting (UK).
Our lampshades will not fit on a lamp with an American style harp or a lamp which requires a lampshade carrier. These can be ordered on request so please do not hesitate to get in touch with your requirements.
The bulb holder component in the centre of the lampshade sits 4cm up from the bottom of a lampshade for a lamp, or 4cm down from the top of a ceiling pendant lampshade. If you have an arc floor lamp you will need to order your lampshade for a ceiling pendant meaning the fittings will be at the top of the lampshade. No Flex and Fitting set or Table lamp is included in the cost of our Lampshades. The Lampshades are sold as just the Shade and the flex / table lamp is purely used for photography purposes.
LAMPSHADE SIZING:
We show our lampshade sizing in both cms and inches, please refer to our proportions images on the product page to find the right shape and then choose your size from the drop down menu.
FABRIC & WALLPAPER SAMPLES:
Colours, textures and tones can look different on different computer and mobile screens, so we always encourage requesting free fabric and wallpaper samples first. You can order your free samples from the product page. Maximum 5 per customer and shipping charges apply. For Full details take a look HERE
METALLIC LINED LAMPSHADES:
Three layers of materials are used to make our Gold and Copper lined shades; the foil lining, the pvc, then your chosen fabric or wallpaper. This allows the colour on the outside of the shade to stay rich and opaque.
No light can permeate through the sides of the shade, meaning the light is directional and will reflect off the metallic lining giving a wonderfully warm glow from the top and bottom of the shade.
The amount of light from the lampshade will depend on the size of the shade you order, ie: the bigger the shade, the more light you will receive.
FRINGING:
Our fringing measures 10cm or 5cms in length, please note the dimensions on the drop down menus and the sizes on our proportions image do not include the fringing measurements.
BULBS:
The type of bulb required for use with our lampshades will be dependent on the max wattage of the lamp or the flex set you intend on using. Please consult the manufactures guide to find your fitting and max wattage.
The most common type of bulb is the European ES27 Bulb. A large screw in bulb with a fitting diameter of 27mm.
Alternatively, a Small BC Bayonet Cap B22 bulb is a UK standard bulb with a fitting diameter of 22mm.

Delivery
Love Frankie is a small, dedicated team who lovingly hand make all our lampshades to order.
Our standard Lampshade lead time is 2 – 3 weeks, with any extended lead times advertised in a banner across the top of the website. During busy periods such as Christmas and/or any promotional Sales this lead time can increase to 5 – 6 weeks. Please contact us if you are in a rush for your order as we will do everything we can to help you meet your deadlines.
Any other item ordered from the Love Frankie website will have a lead time of 3 – 5 working days unless otherwise stated on the product copy. And Finally… if you order more than one item, it is possible that your order will be delivered together based on the longest lead time estimate.

All UK orders are dispatched with DPD local or UPS on a next day tracked and insured service.
All International orders are dispatched with UPS on a 3 – 5 day tracked and insured service.
DPD local will be in touch directly to let you know your tracking number and one hour delivery window. If this delivery slot is inconvenient for you, please reply to DPD local direct to arrange a more suitable time.
Please Note: International Shipping charges will be estimated at Checkout. Once your order has been placed and we know the size and weight of the items in your order, it is likely the cost of shipping will increase. Therefore, please be aware that we may request further shipping funds once your order is ready for dispatch. Please feel free to email us for an exact quote before you place your order.
Please note that dispatch estimates are not guaranteed dispatch times and should not be relied upon as such.
Returns
You have the right to cancel your order at any time from the moment you place your online order, and up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods. You must notify us via email at hello@lovefrankie.com if you wish to cancel your order within this time period. You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify us of your cancellation to return your order.
A credit note will be issued to the value of the item(s) returned if the request to return is made after the 14 days from the date of delivery. No Credit notes or refunds will be given if the request to return your order is made after 2 months from the date of delivery.
Personalised / Bespoke Lampshades.
Refunds and/or credit notes will not be issued on any bespoke, made for you lampshades. These include lampshades which are not part of our current stock collection available to view online. For example: if you provide your own material or choose a size or colour combination outside our set stock sizes available online.
Please please remember that all our lampshades are lovingly handmade to order so we ask that you make sure to measure your space carefully to ensure you order the correct size is ordered to avoid returns. We are on hand to advise on sizing if need be.
We offer free fabric swatches of all our fabrics and wallpapers. Please remember that computer, phone and tablet screens reproduce colours differently.
The cost of return postage is the buyers responsibility, unless otherwise arranged.

If your order has been damaged in transit you must inform us within 48 hours so we can make a claim with our courier and send you a replacement. Please note we will require pictures of the damaged lampshade and packaging.
